Mailchimp in Dutch?

Although both Mailchimp and Laposta are email marketing programs and you can send free newsletters with both tools, they differ quite a bit from each other. We notice that Laposta is increasingly being mentioned and used as a Dutch alternative to Mailchimp. We are also receiving more questions about that. Therefore, we have listed a number of important features for you.

1. Simply free up to 2000 contacts

You can send free newsletters with Laposta to a maximum of 2,000 contacts (up to 12,000 newsletters per month). The only consideration is that a Laposta logo is displayed at the bottom of your newsletter. In a free account, you can take advantage of almost all extensive features of our newsletter tool.

2. Extensive options for contacts

Your contacts form the basis and starting point of your email campaign(s). You can quickly and easily import from Excel into our program. To expand your contact list, you can utilize various sign-up forms, which you can easily link to your website. 

Contacts are automatically deduplicated at the time of sending. For separate target groups, you can create additional lists or segments; Laposta has no limits on the number of lists or segments. You may enrich your contact data with as many fields as you want to effectively segment and personalize. You have insight into who you can send a newsletter to directly, who has unsubscribed (and why), and which email addresses have bounced. You can also export those contacts back to Excel and: Laposta does not count unsubscribes and bounces as active contacts in your account.

3. User-friendly editor, extensive options for campaigns

Laposta has a comprehensive and intuitive drag & drop editor. You can choose whether to start with a ready-made template and customize it to your liking or to begin with a blank slate for a new campaign. You can import a self-programmed template (or newsletter). Our templates are available to everyone and completely free to use. 

With the drag & drop editor, you have a multitude of options that even professional designers would appreciate. You can customize and set the display of your newsletter on a mobile phone yourself and make use of all options to include conditional content in your campaign(s). 

And of course, you can also automate your e-marketing campaigns with a comprehensive automation tool. Automation, an extended version of an autoresponder, is available to all Laposta customers. 

4. Laposta takes privacy seriously

With Laposta, you can meet all GDPR requirements. For every user, a data processing agreement is ready, which can be easily signed within our program. With a paid subscription, you can have your data processing agreement signed by us. 

All our servers are located in the Netherlands. Furthermore, we have an ISO-27001 certification, which ensures careful handling of your data. Additionally, you can protect the privacy of the recipients of your newsletters by anonymizing results and statistics of your newsletter at three different levels. You can also log in extra securely because even with a free account, you can directly activate two-factor authentication.

5. Developed in the Netherlands, aimed at Dutch organizations

Laposta is a Dutch program, developed and managed by ourselves. The complete program and documentation (knowledge base) are in Dutch, just like our Helpdesk. The helpdesk supports you in Dutch quickly and practically via email and - if you have a paid account - also by phone. 

You can make use of our Helpdesk for as long as you need (even if you have a free account): this support is always available to you, as long as you work with our newsletter program. 

If you take a paid subscription, we can often also accept the purchasing conditions (from organizations in the public sector) and sign your data processing agreement. 

6. Transparent and favorable pricing 

Laposta has a clear pricing structure. If you have more than 2,000 contacts or prefer to take a paid subscription for another reason, your subscription fee is only dependent on the number of contacts in your account. This number is always tracked live for you in your account. You can send an unlimited number of newsletters to your contacts and set up an unlimited number of automations. 

With a paid account, you can work with an unlimited number of users in one account, all with their own username and password. Each user may contact our Helpdesk, and with a paid subscription, you may comfortably use the phone for that.
