This privacy statement concerns the processing of personal data via the websites of Laposta: laposta.nl and app.laposta.nl.

What is the purpose of processing personal data?
Laposta processes your personal data for the following purposes:
To send our (occasional) newsletter;
To be able to call or email you if necessary in the context of our service provision;
To offer you the opportunity to create an account so that you can use our software.
What data do we collect?
If you wish to receive our newsletter:
Email address
First name and/or last name
Data regarding the opening of newsletters and clicking on links
If you call or email our helpdesk:
Email address
First name and/or last name
If you create an account:
Email address
First name and/or last name
Address (if you purchase a subscription or buy mail credits).
Via Cookies on our websites:
For our website, we use functional and analytical cookies, but no tracking cookies. See paragraph 'Cookies'.
We do not collect special and/or sensitive personal data.
Retention periods
Laposta does not retain your personal data longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.
For the newsletter, we will keep your data as long as our newsletter is sent;
If you have been a customer of ours, we will retain your contact details for a maximum of 7 years.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Laposta will not provide or sell your personal data to third parties without your knowledge, unless we are legally obliged to do so, for example on the grounds of a legitimate claim by competent authorities.
Security
Laposta takes the protection of your personal data seriously and has an ISO-27001 certification in this context. We take extensive measures to prevent theft, loss or otherwise unlawful use of your personal data.
Viewing, adjusting or deleting data
You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by Laposta, and you have the right to data portability. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to helpdesk@laposta.nl. To ensure that the request for access is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your identification along with the request. In this copy, make your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) black. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, but within four weeks, to your request.
Complaint about the processing of your personal data
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data, you can notify our data protection officer via fg@laposta.nl. Laposta also wants to point out that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority. This can be done via this link.
If you have received a newsletter sent by Laposta
Laposta processes personal data for its customers. The customers are the data controllers. If you have questions about the processing of your personal data by one of our customers, you can contact them directly.
A cookie is a small text file that is sent along when requesting pages from our website and is stored by your browser on your computer. The stored information is sent back to our servers on your next visit.
Cookies
We use functional and analytical cookies for our website, but no tracking cookies.
Functional cookies are necessary for the website to function. For example, we use a cookie to keep track of whether someone is logged in or not. And to save set preferences.
With analytical cookies, we record the browsing behavior of visitors to our website. We do this using Google Analytics. We have set this program so that no personal data is recorded (IP addresses are anonymized).
No tracking cookies
We do not use advertising networks, do not build profiles of visitors, and do not use Facebook pixels.
Asking for consent
Because we do not use tracking cookies, and because we do not collect personal information with analytical cookies, asking for consent is not mandatory. However, it is required to inform the visitor about the use of cookies, which we hereby do.
