Make your newsletter recognizable with a custom template
In Laposta you have complete freedom to design and set up your newsletter exactly how you want. You can develop your own template, use a ready-made template that is waiting for you, or have custom templates developed.
In a template, you determine everything related to the layout of your newsletter, such as the structure of boxes and columns, the type of blocks, the colors, the font, and the size and weight of headings and body text. You set that down in a template so you can use it in all your newsletters.
A template keeps you from having to redesign your newsletter every time and ensures that your newsletters are recognizable to your recipients. By the way: because Laposta is a Dutch program, we always talk about a 'sjabloon', the Dutch version of the English 'template'.
(Your) Templates in Laposta
Of course you want your newsletters to look professional and polished. In Laposta you have four different ways to achieve that and work in your unique template and own corporate style. For every newsletter you create, you choose (in Step 3 of Laposta's Six-Step Plan) your preferred template, which you then fill in during Step 4.
Tip: in the drag & drop editor, you can save any campaign as your own template, and you may keep and use an unlimited number of templates in your account.
Option 1: Start with an empty template
If you choose an empty template, you build the entire structure yourself in the drag & drop editor. You define the layout for how your newsletter appears on desktop and mobile in your brand style or per content block. If you only want to place text in your email, that is also possible.
Option 2: Ready-made templates
The ready-made templates have all been developed by professional designers. They are responsive and therefore display correctly on all devices. You can use the ready-made templates for free and get started right away by filling them in the drag & drop editor with text, images, social links, and videos. You can also completely customize the structure and design.
Tip: you can find all ready-made templates in your account on the Campaigns → Templates → Drag & drop page. You may save an unlimited number of templates (and your own variations of the ready-made templates) in your account.
Option 3: Import your self-made template
Can you design and code a template yourself in HTML and CSS? Then you can supplement this template with Laposta-specific commands and import it into your account. We have compiled examples, commands, and guidelines for you.
Option 4: Have a custom template developed
Can't get your template the way you want it? Do you want a newsletter that meets the requirements of digital accessibility (WCAG and EEA) or have content automatically placed from an RSS feed?
If you have a paid account, you can have our designers create a professional custom template for you.
